<DIV STYLE="text-align:Left;"><DIV><DIV><P STYLE="margin:0 0 11 0;"><SPAN>Feature Class for Anne Arundel County Snow Removal Zones Contractors, which is a subset of the Snow Removal Zones, Jeff Cox, Wayne McCready, Adam Mills, Alex Baquie, Rick Davis, and Road District Supervisors were involved in the planning and execution of the project. In May 2020, Jeff Cox and Wayne McCready met with Rick Davis to discuss a detailed work plan to take the Snow Removal Zones used by the County and cut them into smaller zones for private contractors. The Road District Supervisors were contacted to mark physical copies of the Snow Removal Zone maps with desired polygon cuts. In June 2020, BOH GIS Intern Adam Mills was tasked with cutting the current Snow Removal Zones layer into these smaller Snow Contractor Zones within ArcPro. Using the scanned hardcopy PDF maps of the recommended cuts from Road District Supervisors, each polygon was reviewed and cut into several smaller polygons. Snow Contractor Zones mainly focus on the private contractor snow plow service of Local (blue) roads in the snow maps. Arterial (red) and Collector (green) roads were straddled unless an offset was specifically requested. Once all of the cuts were made, a Topology (No Gaps, No Overlaps) was created to ensure the feature class was topologically correct. </SPAN></P></DIV></DIV></DIV> |
